Contrary to dry and tinned food, Frodog aims to replicate the feeding habits of wild dogs as closely as possible.
We can learn a lot from their feeding habits. They don’t suffer from obesity or heart and cardiovascular disease but many pet dogs do. After all, food found in the natural environment is wholesome food.
Wild dogs hunt rabbits, pheasants, chickens, etc. Their meat is low in fat and contains less saturated fats (bad fats) and more essential fatty acids, which makes it more nutritious and easily digestible.
Wild dogs also eat fruits and roots as well as the stomach content of their prey, which consists of cereals, vegetables and fruits.
Bearing these feeding habits in mind, Frodog is composed of unprocessed fresh low fat meat, fresh vegetables and fruit and is free from additives such as preservatives, flavourings and colorants.
100% natural
Frodog is a 100% natural, well balanced frozen food that contains fresh meat and fresh fruit and vegetables.
Frodog does not contain preservatives, flavourings, colorants, animal meal, pork or inferior products such as slaughter waste, soy, nuts, lactose, E-numbers and genetically modified products.
Frodog does not contain residual products from the food industry, only healthy and easily digestible ingredients that have been approved for human consumption.
What about dry and tinned food?
The basic ingredient in dry dog food is animal meal. This is manufactured from residual products from human food (meat scraps, bones, entrails, etc.), which have been processed so that they have lost a large part of their vitamin and mineral content.
Dry food also contains fatty types of meat such as pork, which are not beneficial to your dog. Moreover, dry food contains a number of added synthetic antioxidants and preservatives.
As a rule tinned foods also contain added preservatives and flavourings.
Naturally fresh
The ingredients in Frodog are not heated or processed at any time. They are immediately frozen from fresh to a temperature of -18°C so that Frodog retains its unbeatable flavour and the necessary nutrients and vitamins are preserved for a longer period of time.
